Just Between Friends Consignment Sale - Don't Miss!!

If you haven't been to a JBF sale, you are missing out! There are several locations in the Houston area with various dates. You can check the website for more details. Each location has 2 sales a year, a fall and a spring. The Pearland fall sale starts tomorrow. It is filled with everything for kids! Toys, clothes, furniture, books, baby gear, maternity, shoes, etc.  It is too late for you to consign in this sale, but for the future, you can earn 65% of total sales, or 70% if you volunteer. The biggest benefit to selling or volunteering, is that you get into the exclusive pre-sale before the general public. There is also a half-price sale on Saturday! Check it out starting tomorrow! I went to the Woodlands sale 2 weeks ago and spent about 50 bucks and got about 120.00 worth of clothing!

New Burgers in Town.. Landons Grill and Steak and Shake

We decided to check out two of the new restaurants in town. Landon's Grill and Steak and Shake. Landon's Grill is family owned and located where Mooyah's used to be, near the Houston Swim club and Birkram Yoga. The place was very clean and the staff is very nice. We loved our food- had burgers and chicken strips. The kids loved their food and we did too. Best part? Free Shakes for kids if you show them the coupon on their website. www.landonsgrill.com LETS SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS!

The second restaurant we decided to try upon opening was the new Steak and Shake, located in front of Macys in the Pearland Town Center. The food was yummy - the wait was not. There is a drive thru that is PACKED and the wait for a table inside is long too. That said.. the food and prices are great! We had salads and burgers and hotdogs- all yummy. The shakes were really yummy too. Best part? Kids eat free ALL WEEKEND LONG. One free kids meal per every 8.00 spent. They have diner hats for the kids and constructable classic cars for the kids too. It has a diner atmosphere and is not a fast food joint like we thought. There is a hostess, waitstaff and an eat-in bar. Try them out!

Sugarland Skeeters!

Astros, who?? Move over- there is a NEW baseball team in town! Our family visited the new Baseball stadium in Sugarland, Constellation Field. It is home to our new minor league team, the Sugarland Skeeters. Do not be fooled- there is nothing minor about this! The field is beautiful! There is lawn seating available in the outfield, there is a splash pad and park and a bar located directly next to the lawn seating. The food choices were great and the entire atmosphere was wonderful. They have kids run the bases, fireworks on fridays, and a ton of other give-aways and activities. The best part?? It is SUPER AFFORDABLE and the parking is FREE! Check it out! www.sugarlandskeeters.com

I Break for School

Ok-- I have decided that I am going to be more of a "break" blogger-- summer, christmas, holidays, spring break, etc... I can't maintain every week with 2 kiddos in school and activities. My intention was always a summer blog, but I expanded a bit. I am going to go back to listing activities for breaks. The Kids eat free list will still be up, and the main list is as well. I will also list big events as they come. So stay tuned, and check back for spring break to-do's!
